Looking for a Part II Architectural Assistant position in the UK, starting Summer 2021.
I am a Franco-Dutch Architecture Student. I am currently studying my Masters of Science with Honours at the TU Delft in the Netherlands. My current GPA is of 8.7/10. In 2018, I obtained a First Class Bachelors at the Manchester School of Architecture. Following this, I worked for a year in an architecture practice in London.
My architectural fascination lies in the role of architect in articulating our relationship with the past. As Ricoeur wrote in History and Truth (1965), the challenge lies in “how to become modern and to return to sources; how to revive an old, dormant civilisation and take part in universal civilisation.”

Project sites and locations of work & study

My ongoing graduation project focuses on Marseille and its 'Shady Heritage'. I will be producing multiple outputs: An essay anthology conceptualising 'Shady Heritage', an alternative atlas, locating shady narratives within Marseille, and a design proposal for the adaptive re-use of a Shady Heritage Site.
My dissertation on Hull’s waterfront (UK) provided me with a nuanced understanding of the complex nature of waterfront redevelopment and the often disregarded social value of industrial heritage sites.
design project in San Marino has given me insight into architectural design grounded in multi-scalar and multidisciplinary research. This projects adopted a critical stance on canonical architecture by prioritising contextual design and making use of the existing built fabric. As such, heritage buildings have been a red thread throughout my Masters.
Beyond my academic curriculum, a supplementaryHonours course in the Urbanism faculty  enabled me to conduct research-by-design with a Tirolean municipality (Austria) on scenarios of sustainable development relating to tourism.
I have also written a few articles for Port City Futures, a Leiden-Delft-Erasmus research collaboration. These online publications relate to my thesis and graduation research and seek to increase the reach of my work.
I have taken part in design competitions and workshops, and have done commission work, a few of which are ongoing. One of these consists of involvement with the historic castle of Goudourville in France, for which I have undertaken survey and design work.
Photography has honed my observation skills, enabling me to articulate my curiosity for the precious, fleeting moments that occur every day, undervalued by most.
